Full dress rehearsal of Republic Day parade was successfully conducted at Police Line Ground, on Friday. Preparations for the district’s main Republic Day celebration at the Police Ground have reached their final stage. The full dress rehearsal for the event including the parade and cultural performances was successfully conducted. Additional Collector Nathuram Gound acted as the Chief Guest during the rehearsal, hoisting the national flag and taking the salute from the parade, replicating the main event’s proceedings. School children also performed their cultural programs during this final rehearsal.

 

Senior officials from the administration and police including Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay were present. The main Republic Day event would be organised at Police Parade Ground on January 26 at 9 am. PWD Minister Rakesh Singh will hoist the national flag and read the Republic Day message of the Chief Minister, and will took guard of honour from Republic Day parade.
