A three-day exhibition of Black and White photography work of noted photographer Vinay Thakur titled ‘The Power of Monochrome’ will be held at Rangayan Hall at Chitnavis Centre in Civil Lines from January 3, 2025. Vinay Thakur is a Fine Art photographer with over 50 years of experience. In the past 10 years, Vinay has conducted over 350 photography workshops as a mentor of Nikon School of Photography. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Mahesh Aney, National Film Award winner and cinematographer of the film ‘Swades’, while Vijay Phanshikar, Chief Editor, The Hitavada, will be the chief guest. Aney and Phanshikar will also deliver lectures alongside Vinay Kumar and fashion and celebrity photographer Amogh Thakur. Post-inauguration, Mahesh Aney will deliver a lecture titled ‘While Shooting In Bollywood’ from 3.30 pm to 4.30. Another guest speaker Amogh Thakur will deliver his lecture the following day on Mobile Photography titled ‘Click, Edit, Slay: Mobile Photography.’
 
Thakur’s lecture will take place from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. Vinay Thakur’s lecture will take place on Saturday, January 03 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The topic of his lecture will be “Developing Photographic Vision.” Chief guest Vijay Phanshikar will deliver his hour-long lecture on ‘Photo Journalism’ on the concluding day of the exhibition. The lecture will start at 12.30 pm. The exhibits will feature from various genres like landscapes, nature and wildlife, travel, and street photography. All the presented exhibits at the venue will be on sale. The images will be Collector’s Choice and printed on fade resistant long lasting archival medium.
