Vedika Goyal, a student from the Department of Computer Science, University Teaching Department (UTD), CSVTU Bhilai, has been selected to represent Chhattisgarh at prestigious National Environmental Youth Parliament (NEYP) 2025.
 
The annual event, recognised as a leading platform for youth engagement in environmental policy discussions, was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on January 24-25. The University extended its heartfelt congratulations to Vedika and Professor Manish Kumar Sinha, the Environmental Nodal Officer of the University Teaching Department. The Director, UTD, CSVTU praised Vedika’s unwavering commitment to environmental conservation and advocacy, emphasising the innovative perspectives she brought to the discussions. Professor Manish Kumar Sinha, HoD of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, UTD, informed that from an initial selection of 11 students from UTD, CSVTU, eight students were shortlisted from across Chhattisgarh, with Vedika being the sole representative from CSVTU to reach the final stage. As a part of NEYP 2025, Vedika joined a select group of young environmental leaders from across the country. Together, they discussed critical environmental issues, proposed solutions, and interacted with policymakers, experts, and fellow change makers. This achievement underscores the commitment of both Vedika and CSVTU to addressing pressing environmental concerns and driving positive change. Vedika’s selection is a significant milestone in her academic journey and highlights the growing impact of youth-led environmental initiatives across the nation.
