Notorious gangster Pawan Dheeraj Hiranwar was shot dead during a gang war near in Khaparkheda on Thursday. However, shocking new information has emerged revealing that the main target in the shooting was Shailesh alias Bunty Vinod Hiranwar (30). Meanwhile, Khaparkheda Police have arrested four accused in connection with the case. The arrested accused are Siddharth Kowe, Pratham Shakya, both residents of Kachipura; Adhiraj Kanojia, a resident of Walmiki Nagar, and Avi alias Lalit Bhusari, a resident of Mate Chowk. On Thursday afternoon, Pawan, his cousin Bunty Hiranwar, Sahil alias Sonu Shendre, Himanshu Gajbhiye, and Siddharth Kowe travelled to the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Babulkheda, near Khaparkheda, in a car (MH-47/BK-0323). On their return, two motorcycle-borne men shot at Pawan with a pistol at around 5.30 pm killing him on the spot. In the attack, his cousin Bunty Hiranwar was also injured as a bullet grazed his ear.

 

Siddharth Kowe’s involvement seemed suspicious. As a result, the police detained him. He revealed the identity of the assailants. With the help of a team from the Nagpur Crime Branch, all three accused were arrested. Shakya was the first to be arrested by Khaparkheda Police.

 

 

Pawan and Bunty's friend, Siddharth Kowe, who also lives in Kachipura, had learned that Bunty was planning to visit the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Babulkheda. He decided to join them. During their trip, Siddharth shared details of their locations with the assailants. After they left the temple, Siddharth continued giving information over the phone. As the attackers approached on their motorcycle, he slowed down the vehicle and allowed the gunmen to shoot at Pawan and flee. Police sources suggest that Siddharth was paid a large sum of money to provide the tip. 

 

 

 Shailesh alias Bunty Vinod Hiranwar is a notorious gangster with several cases against him, including MCOCA. In 2022, Bunty had attacked Avi alias Lalit Bhusari, one of the accused in this case, and severely injured him. Two cases were registered against Bunty for the assault. Avi, angry about this incident, is believed to have planned the revenge attack.
