THE Indian Medical Association’s (IMA) Ganeshaa Cricket Premier League kicked-off on January 4.
Eight teams — Newera Warrior, SMHRC, Magnum Monks, Ros Royals, KGF, Surgical Striker, Guts and Pulmo Power are participating in the tournament.
Padmashri Dr Vikas Mahatme, Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony which was held at NCA, Kurvey’s School ground.
Prashant Pandit, former Ranji Trophy player was guest of honour.
Dr Milind Naik, Former Vice-President, IMA HQs; Dr Krishna Parate, Past President, IMA Nagpur and Dr Ashish Disawal, Vice-President, IMA MS were also present.
The team owners include — Dr Nilesh Agrawal, Dr Anand Sancheti, Dr Nidheesh Mishra, Dr Shrikant Mukewar, Dr Chandrashekhar Gillurkar, Dr Sameer Choubey, Dr Pramod Giri, Dr Yogesh Deshmukh, Dr Kanhaiya Chandak, Dr Shivaji Deshmukh, Dr Sandeep Nikahde, Dr Meghan Agrawal, Dr Riju Chimote, Dr Anup Marar, Dr Vasant Gawande, Dr Kunal Saoji, Dr Ashok Arbat, Dr Akash Balki, Dr Vinit Niranjane, Dr Amol Deshmukh, Dr Ashish Pongde, Dr Tushar Bhure, Dr Sushil Pande, Dr Pramod Gandhi, Dr Prakash Khetan and Dr Mahesh Fulwani.
The final will be held on February 9.
