Tushar Yadav scored a brace in the first half as KGN Academy thrashed an out of form Big Ben Football Club in the JSW-NDFA Super Division Group A League match on Monday.
Goals came thick and fast at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar as KGN Academy registered their first win, a 5-0 rout of Big Ben.
The West Nagpur-based club Big Ben’s chances of making it super six got a big dent after their second huge loss.
In their first match, they were thrashed by City Police by half a dozen goal.
KGN Academy, who had lost their first match to Young Haider, regrouped immediately and hammered Big Ben scoring four goals in the first half itself.
Nahid Qureshi gave KGN Academy the lead in the 10th minute of play and Tushar Yadav scored first of his two goals five minutes later.
Tushar Urkude then found enough gap in the fragile Big Ben defence to make it 3-0 in the 28th minute.
It was all over for the hapless Big Ben when Yadav scored his second goal at the stroke of
half-time.
The fifth goal of the match came in the 86th minute of play when Mohd Azhar piled misery on Big Ben goalkeeper.
In Senior Division, NFC defeated Rahul Academy 1-0 through Muzammil Sheikh’s 25th minute strike.
