MOHOTA, led by senior bridge players Basant Mohota, S Chhajjed, R Deshpande, Samir Roy and Anilkumar Mohota emerged champions in team duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association at their sports complex at Shankar Nagar on Sunday. It was a victory to cherish in 50 deals contest played across five rounds of 10 boards each, wherein their tally of 66.27 VP helped them secure top honours and winners purse. Just behind them were team Four Aces, who finished runners up with a tally of 62.22 VP.

 

Their team consisted of G Sundermurty, P Kar, S Iyer, H Bhave and S Khanzode. Playwell finished third with 61.59 VP. Their team included father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev. In IMP pairs event played on Saturday, competing from 29 pairs, Kumra brothers emerged champions in 24 deals contest. S Rai and A Das walked away with second position. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. The event was supported by Gimatex Industries Pvt Ltd.
