Artificial Electronics Intelligent Material Limited to invest Rs 10,000 cr; Shrem Investments Private Limited -- Rs 800 cr; Olektra -- Rs 3,500 cr  
 
“Vidarbha’s share in ‘Viksit Bharat’ will be significant,” said Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal
 
 
The concluding ceremony of three-day ‘Advantage Vidarbha 2025 – Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav’, on Sunday, witnessed signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for proposed joint investment of over Rs 14,350 crore. Artificial Electronics Intelligent Material Limited will invest Rs 10,000 crore; Shrem Investments Pvt. Ltd. will invest Rs 800 crore; Olektra will set up an EV bus manufacturing unit here with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore and also set up a driver training institute with an investment of Rs 50 crore. A London-based company will also invest in the region. Artificial Electronics Intelligent Material Ltd’s facility will create job opportunities for 500 people. Olectra Greentech Ltd, pioneer in electric bus manufacturing and insulators in India, will set up its facility in the region and develop facilities for training drivers. P Anbalagan, Secretary Industry of Maharashtra, signed the MoUs with representatives of respective companies.
 
The concluding ceremony also saw the announcement of Vidarbha Global Skills University. Similarly, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced Vidarbha Global Skills University. It will be set up in 100 acres of land in partnership with the Government of Maharashtra and Association for Industrial Development (AID). The mega event, organised by Association for Industrial Development (AID) and conceptualised by Gadkari, concluded here on Sunday. On the occasion, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that Advantage Vidarbha 2025 – Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav has projected the real image of Vidarbha’s potential. “We have recently seen that Maharashtra has attracted huge investment at Davos and a sizable part of it will come up here in Vidarbha. It will further boost industrial growth in the region and I am sure that Vidarbha’s share in ‘Viksit Bharat’ will be significant,” he said.
 
Goyal also said that the revised Income Tax slabs will increase the tax-free income threshold to Rs 12 lakh. This will lead to more consumption and eventually boost business. It will create a cycle of growth,” he added. In his address, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Advantage Vidarbha 2025 – Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav was a big success. “It was a big source of motivation for all the participants. In its second edition, the mega event witnessed participation of many renowned companies, industrialists, policy makers and others.
 
It is an immensely successful event,” he said. Fadnavis further said that his Government is putting efforts to develop two ‘magnet districts’ in the region which will attract investment and in due course of time also benefit the adjoining districts. “We are committed to boost development not only in Nagpur or Vidarbha but also in other parts of the State,” he said highlighting some of the projects in Sambhaji Nagar. “The Government has recently announced plans to develop “plug and play” industrial parks in 100 cities in the country. Fadnavis said Maharashtra will try to attract more centres in this category,” he said. At the outset, the President of AID gave introductory remarks. MP Rajya Sabha Prafull Patel, former MP Ajay Sancheti, MLC Chitra Wagh; MLA Rajesh Wankhede; Director of MTDC Manojkumar Suryawanshi; IIM Nagpur Director Bhimaraya Metri; and others also were present on the occasion.
