SANSKRITI - The Cultural Committee of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur’s largest annual cultural fest of Central India ‘Eclectika’25’ concluded here on Sunday. The three-day extravaganza was successfully organised under the guidance of Dean Student Welfare Dr Nitin Jain. Day-3 of the cultural festival consisted of numerous captivating events which witnessed fervent participation from the audience.
The last day event commenced with SnakeMania organised by Go Green Club portraying a blend of knowledge and appreciation. Experts from the Nova Nature Foundation provided valuable insights into snakes, their habitat and their ecological importance, busting common myths.
The event also honoured sanitation workers while recognising their vital role in society. It was followed by valedictory programme and prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners of various competitions held over the past three days.
Earlier, Allure, a fashion show event where contestants mesmerised the audience with their traditional ensembles, transformed the runway into a spectacle of elegance. Participants underwent a rigorous selection process, wherein they showcased their talent through their distinctive styles.
After an enthralling display, the winners were announced, Vishwanath (IT, 2nd Semester) secured first position and Shruthi (Civil, 4th Semester) was the runner-up. Clash of Choreos, the electrifying dance competition attracted a large number of enthusiastic participants from various colleges.
The contest featured a wide range of dance performances in which participants grooved to the thrilling beats of Jo bheji thi Dua, My name is Lakhan and Malhari.
Winners of the dance competition were The OGtist Crew (Dance Group) from Pt Harishankar College of Raipur while the runner-up was Nishant from The Cross Crew Dance Group of Raipur (solo performance). A variety of engaging mini-events and games such as Solve The Cube, Sudoku, Test your memory, Clay Castle were also organised which made the campus bustling and energetic.
This was followed by a speaker session organised by Finance and Consulting Club (FCC) with Centre Manager at iQuanta Ashutosh Gajendra as the keynote speaker for the event. Insightful tips related to the management of finance were shared during the session.
Participants gained practical experience through the interactive event. Engaging events like Guesstimate and Money Haul were also conducted, making the session both informative and enjoyable.
At last, the most anticipated moment of the cultural fest arrived, the Electronic Dance and Music (EDM) Night wherein people immersed themselves in the exhilarating ambiance. The night sparkled with glamour as the stage radiated magic and the audience was swept up in emotion as the most vibrant fest of the year reached its grand finale. As the event concluded, it left behind unforgettable memories, showcasing an extraordinary display of culture and talent.
