State Govt introduces ‘Maitri 2.0’ for industrial development: Dr P Anbalagan

THE Maharashtra Government has recently launched the ‘Maitri 2.0’ portal to facilitate industry, investment, and trade. This initiative aims to provide faster, easier, and more transparent services to entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors. The State Government has introduced ‘Maitri’ as a catalyst for industrial development across Maharashtra, including Vidarbha, revealed Dr P Anbalagan, Secretary of the Industries Department, Government of Maharashtra. Dr Anbalagan was addressing representatives of various companies and industry associations in a session titled ‘Solving Industry Problems’, organised by the Industrial Development Association (AID) at Advantage Vidarbha – 2025: Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav at Nagpur University campus on Sunday.
 
The session was attended by key industry leaders, including Association for Industrial Development (AID) President Ashish Kale, Vice President Girdhari Mantri, Secretary Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma, MIDC Industrial Association (MIA) President P Mohan, BMA President Dr Kishore Malviya, and Laghu Udyog Bharati President Alok Pahune. Dr Anbalagan emphasised that Nagpur and Vidarbha possess immense industrial potential, and the coming decade will be crucial for the region’s economic growth. He highlighted that, alongside traditional industries, several new industries are emerging in Vidarbha, attracting substantial investment. The Government is focused on addressing challenges faced by businesses at the district level while also fostering entrepreneurship at the village level. During the session, representatives from various industry organisations presented their concerns, seeking solutions to challenges in the business ecosystem. The event was conducted by Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma and Girdhari Mantri.
