A farmer was critically injured after a tiger attacked him at Jagua village under Panpatha buffer zone, Barhi tehsil. The injured has been admitted to district hospital.
Villages informed that from five days they were observing movement of Tiger near the residential areas and they had informed Forest Department about it. Unfortunately, neither official from the Forest Department took cognisance nor did they inspect the area.
In the afternoon, farmer Shivdutt Tiwari, a resident of Jagua village, was going to his field from his home and on way he was attacked by a tiger.
The fellow villagers saw him and immediately raised alarm and rescued him. He was taken to district hospital.
Then with the help of elephant, the tiger was chased back to the forest area. But villagers in Panpatha Buffer zone are panicked with this incident and are worried about their life and cattle.
