Bhopal gears up for Global Investors Summit with impressive makeover

Bhopal is undergoing a significant transformation in preparation for the Global Investors Summit. The city is being adorned with beautiful paintings, artistic creations, vibrant flowerbeds at intersections and central verges, and mesmerising multi-coloured fountains, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal. Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan personally inspected beautification efforts, ensuring high standards and timely completion. Commissioner Narayan dedicated nearly four hours to reviewing beautification and maintenance works. His inspection spanned various key locations, including the route from the airport to Boat Club, New Market to Bhadbhada, Nehru Nagar and other significant areas. He meticulously examined progress at each site, gathering detailed information about specific projects.
 
He was accompanied by officials from Public Works Department, Traffic Police and the Municipal Corporation. The Commissioner’s tour covered Raja Bhoj Airport, the State hanger, Gandhi Nagar, Bairagarh, Lalghati, VIP Road, Lakeview Point, Selfie Point, Gauhar Mahal, Iqbal Maidan, Kamla Park, Shyamla Hills, Boat Club, Bharat Mata Chouraha, P&T Chouraha Road, Bhadbhada Chouraha, Nehru Nagar Marg, New Market, TT Nagar Dussehra Maidan, Atal Path and more. He expressed satisfaction with progress of tree plantation drive along the airport road, creating a lush green corridor and lauded unique tricolour paintings on specially designed structures.
 
He instructed officials to expedite remaining work. He also appreciated attractive paintings and fountains at and under Gandhi Nagar-Airport bridge and urged the team to accelerate similar projects at other locations. Commissioner Narayan issued specific directives for various locations: Airport Road: Organise placement of flower pots, improve maintenance and landscaping at the airport nursery and beautify area in front of damaged shops near the airport with paintings and other aesthetic enhancements, Lalghati to Bairagarh Road: Expedite beautification work on this stretch, VIP Road (Lake View and Selfie Point): Enhance the appeal of these popular spots, Gauhar Mahal: Review the lighting and beautification at Siddhi Ghat and undertake repainting in other sections as needed, Iqbal Maidan: Ensure high-quality and timely completion of maintenance and beautification, clean the shops and buildings in front of the ground, and repaint them attractively. He also directed the remaining roads to be concreted, Kamla Park: Enhance the greenery and improve the fountain with attractive lighting, Shyamla Hills: Improve the appearance of the hawkers’ corner in front of the Doordarshan Kendra, Boat Club: Complete the paving block work on the footpath and side verges, finish painting/artwork on the walls, and complete the railing painting, Human Museum: Paint the area around the eye-catching fountain.
 
Bharat Mata Chouraha: Expedite the remaining asphalting/cement concreting work, remove debris, repair as needed on the road from Bharat Mata Chouraha to P&T Chouraha, install paving blocks on the footpath, organize the green area, and remove unwanted items, Bhadbhada Dam: Enhance the visual appeal of the trees and plants along the lakefront near the attractive fountain and New Market (Tatya Tope Chouraha & Multi-Level Parking): Accelerate the beautification work and widen and organize the road from Atal Path to the parking area, ensuring adequate lighting and better parking management. These extensive beautification efforts demonstrate Bhopal’s commitment to create a welcoming and visually stunning environment for Global Investor Summit.
