A two-day International Conference on ‘Novel Materials and Applications (INCMA-2025)’ was inaugurated at Jabalpur Engineering College (JEc) on Wednesday. This prestigious conference is being organized by the Department of Applied Physics. MLA Cantt, Ashok Rohani graced the event as chief guest and shared inspiring thoughts with the students. Professor S. P. Gautam, President, Mahakaushal Science Council, Vijnan Bharti, was the special guest and shared his insights.
The dignitaries also unveiled a book.
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Principal Dr. Rajeev Chandak.
The first session introduced Dr. Anu Syal (Taylor University, Malaysia), a senior lecturer, along with other distinguished guests.
Subsequently, Dr. Syal delivered an informative session on data science, smart materials, and modeling techniques in material design. She highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in advancing interdisciplinary research.
Several renowned international speakers from the USA, Qatar, and India including Latifa Latias, Dr. Kishor Kumar Sadashivani, Dr. Purnima Khare and Professor Sanjay Tiwari, participated virtually and discussed new dimensions of technological research and development.
ISRO Senior Scientist Dr. Ravi Kumar Verma elaborated on the development and applications of materials used in space technology.
He highlighted the features of the GSLV-3 rocket and engaged the audience in an interactive counting exercise to illustrate India’s journey in rocket launching. He proudly discussed Chandrayaan mission and shared exciting updates on the upcoming NSAR launch next month.Dr. Anubha Maheshwari, Professor of Chemistry, presided over the conference as the Conference Chair. Convener, Dr. Kamal Kushwaha (HOD, Applied Physics), mentioned that around 250 researchers participated enthusiastically, both online and offline.Poster evaluation panel included Dr. Shilpa Saxena, Dr. Mamta Lambert, Dr. Madhuri Gokhale, Dr. Saurabh Singh, Dr. O. P. Chauhan, Dr. Gopal Mina, Dr. Aajya Mishra, Dr. Jitendra Singh Thakur, and Dr. Kanchan Cecil. During first day, a total of 125 research papers were
present.
