In a profound token of respect for its spiritual significance, Dr Yadav described the Maha Kumbh as a mega celebration of Sanatan culture, a mirror of faith for crores of devotees. Dr Yadav emphasised that Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati’s holy confluence holds deep religious significance. Dr Yadav supplemented that a dip in Kumbh is a reward for virtue earned over many lives, offering devotees an opportunity for religious elevation in the presence of holy saints. Dr Yadav extended wishes to pilgrims at the Maha Kumbh, appreciating them for being fortunate enough to behold such a heavenly spectacle. CM Dr Yadav once again asserted his resolve for the grand and divine organisation of Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain during his tour. His visit to Prayagraj, he said, was for reviewing arrangements for the Maha Kumbh in such a way that the same grand arrangements could be held for Simhastha 2028 when Jupiter will be entering Leo, as per ancient Hindu traditions.

The Chief Minister added that a delegation of Madhya Pradesh Government officials have been dispatched to Prayagraj in an attempt to learn and observe the preparations for the Maha Kumbh. In addition, he added, guidance will be taken from the saints at the Maha Kumbh in a move to organise Simhastha 2028 in a proper manner and in a manner that is full of devotion. After taking a holy dip at the Sangam, Dr Yadav thanked, attributing it to blessings of Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Dr Yadav called Prayagraj the king of pilgrims, saying bathing in the Kumbh is a heavenly bliss, a rare fortune.

He prayed for unhindered and eternal flow of holy rivers, for peace, bliss, and happiness for all. Dr Yadav appreciated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Government of Uttar Pradesh for holding the Maha Kumbh successfully. Dr Yadav mentioned that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at its helm, Uttar Pradesh Government conducted this grand spiritual fair in a successful manner. He also mentioned that recently, both Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a holy dip at the Sangam, re-affirming the significance of such a holy confluence. Several state Chief Ministers have visited Prayagraj for participating in the occasion. CM Dr Yadav added that Kumbh Mela is not merely a religious fair but an opportunity for Satsang (spiritual discourses) with saintly persons.

He emphasised that such experiences unfold deep insights about life and religion in a deeper level. The Chief Minister explained the mythological origin of Simhastha, stating that it is a part of a divine episode of Samudra Manthan (churning of ocean), symbolising victory of devotion and righteousness. Sages, saint, sadhus, and pilgrims from across India will gather for Simhastha 2028, and thus it will be a spectacular event of faith and devotion. CM Dr Yadav also said that a special Madhya Pradesh Pandal has been built at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Stage shows based on Lord Krishna’s life and the life of Emperor Vikramaditya have been organised as a part of cultural celebrations. He highlighted that this initiative of the Madhya Pradesh Government is providing individuals from across the country and the globe a window into the State’s cultural richness and magnificence. The Chief Minister’s visit to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh marks the beginning of widespread preparations for Simhastha 2028 with an eye towards Ujjain hosting a glorious and spiritually enriching spectacle in future years.
