Vidarbha’s real estate sector to witness explosive growth: Experts

Vidarbha with its strategic location, improving connectivity and all-round infrastructure and industrial development taking place, will ignite unprecedented growth in the real estate sector. This was the view of the panelists at the session on the topic ‘Vidarbha poised for industrial growth,’ at the Advantage Vidarbha 2025 industrial expo and business conclave and investment summit organised by Association for Industrial Development (AID) on Saturday. Kunal Duddalwal, Secretary, CREADAI National Youth Wing gave the opening remarks and said that the real estate sector in Nagpur is set to undergo a vast change due to massive investments coming in the region that will stimulate demand. Gaurav Agrawala, President of CREDAI Nagpur Metro said that the real estate developers are aware of the huge opportunities and ready to cater to those requirements. Still builders are facing certain challenges in getting building approvals and clearances. He suggested that a single window clearance system should be created for speedy approvals. Maharashtra State Skills University said that there is need for upskilling people and connecting academia with industry. Rohit Agrawal, Director of Rohit Steel shared his entrepreneur journey from steel manufacturing to real estate. He shared some data about a study that showed 92 per cent of billionaires in the world have created wealth through real estate. Prasanna Mohite, National Head, Corporate Affairs, Pernod Ricard stated that there has to be connection between rural growth and urban growth for ‘Vikshit Bharat’ to materialise. As huge investments were pouring in to Vidarbha, sectors like tourism, hospitality, logistics and healthcare tourism will boom. Atul Goyal, Goyal Ganga Group, said that Nagpur is creating opportunities to invest surplus money in various industries and people are migrating to the city. These indicators show that the demand for real estate will grow at rapid pace. Shailesh Awale, Centre Head, HCL Nagpur said that in the IT space, plug-n-play places, would be required by startups, NMCs and Global Capacity Centreswho were looking at city as an ideal business destination.
