Some black & white, some colourful 

Each page dipped 

In happiness and sorrow 

Forever etched in heart’s core.

Crinkled pages,

Worn out with days’ passage 

Leave a mark that lasts forever.

A canvas to rewrite, to rediscover 

A fresh life blossoms 

With its story untold.

But memories stay

Etched in heart, echo the pain.

Clinging onto a lingering past.
