MPCC chief Sapkal also appeals for peace
Considering tension in Mahal, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, President of State Minority Commission Pyare Khan, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Harshvardhan Sapkal, former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, President of Jamia Arabia Islamia Mufti Abdul Kadir Khan have appealed to people to stay calm and maintain peace.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, Nitin Gadkari appealed people to not get provoked by any statement. Nagpur hardly witnessed disputes over caste or creed issue.
Administration and police are handling their responsibility so people should assist them while they are rendering their duty. People should proactively come forward to establish peace, urged Gadkari.
Pyare Khan urged people not to indulge in such acts. He pointed out that people should have progressive thinking. Such incidents not only change society’s atmosphere but also damages the future prospects. Police should not show mercy to the miscreants and take strict action against them. Common public should help administration in maintaining law and order, appealed Pyare Khan.
Sapkal said, Nagpur is considered as city of love and peace.
Today’s incident is an outcome of micreants who wanted to violate peace. In Nagpur, majority Hindus worship Tajuddin Baba. Hindu and Muslim people come together during Shri Ram Shobhayatra. Against this backdrop, today’s incident is unfortunate.
Mufti Abdul Karim Khan also urged people to have faith in administration and police as the action would be taken against the culprits.
