A newly-wed woman

was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Shahpura. The incident came to light when her husband, Dr Abhijeet Pandey informed the police. He told authorities that he and his wife, Dr Richa Pandey (32), had been sleeping in separate rooms. When he woke up, his wife did not open the door. He then called a labourer to open the door, and found her unconscious inside. He rushed her to Bansal Hospital, where she was declared dead. Before going to the hospital, Dr Abhijeet informed Richa’s uncle, P C Pandey, who is an Naib Tehsildar in Bhopal. The police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem at Hamidia Hospital. Dr Richa’s uncle also informed her parents, who live in Lucknow.

 

The case has attracted significant attention due to the high-profile nature of the family involved. Initial investigations revealed that Dr Richa Pandey had been married to Dr Abhijeet Pandey just four months ago. Dr Abhijeet works as a cosmetologist at a private hospital in MP Nagar, while Dr. Richa was an Assistant Professor at RKDF College. Dr Abhijeet is originally from Satna, and the couple lived in a rented house in Sky Dream Colony near Rohit Nagar in Shahpura. Dr Abhijeet’s father is a retired master trainer from the Election Commission, and his sister is a tehsildar in Nimari district. The police found marks of an injection on Dr Richa Pandey’s hands during the post-mortem. They have also seized her mobile phone for further investigation. The case is being thoroughly investigated as the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.
