According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), weather conditions in State remained predominantly dry across all the districts in the past 24 hours. There were no significant changes in maximum temperatures, which stayed within the expected seasonal range. However, minimum temperatures saw a notable drop in certain areas, especially in Shahdol division, where they fell by up to 3.4°C compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, some of the hottest locations included Ratlam at 39.0°C, Narmadapuram at 38.8°C, and Dhar at 37.4°C.

According to IMD, temperatures are expected to gradually rise by 2-3°C over the coming days. In Bhopal and nearby areas, clear skies are predicted, with maximum temperatures reaching 36°C and minimum temperatures dropping to 17°C. Winds will blow at an average speed of 16-18 km per hour. The IMD has advised residents to take precautions against rising temperatures, including staying indoors during peak heat hours, staying hydrated, and avoiding direct sun exposure to prevent heat-related illnesses. IMD has also issued advisories for farmers, recommending that they begin soil preparation for summer crops using organic fertilisers and ensure adequate but controlled irrigation for standing crops. Farmers are also urged to monitor crops for pest attacks and use bio-pesticides where necessary. Additionally, stored grains should be protected from moisture and pest infestation.

For livestock, IMD suggests providing adequate shade and fresh water, along with timely vaccinations to prevent seasonal diseases. Observations from Bhopal over the last 24 hours indicate that the maximum temperature was 35.1°C, which is 0.4°C below normal, while the minimum temperature dropped to 16.5°C, 8.6°C below normal. Humidity levels were recorded at 35% in the morning, and no rainfall was reported. The IMD forecast for March 25-28, suggests that the dry spell is likely to continue across Madhya Pradesh, with temperatures gradually rising. No significant weather disturbances are expected during this period. Residents should prepare for increasing warmth, while farmers should implement necessary irrigation strategies. The IMD advises people to remain cautious, follow weather updates, and take necessary precautions to stay safe in the rising temperatures.
