Addressing the participants at a session organised here on Sunday, Nitin Sachdeva, President and MD of Delaplex USA and India, said that respecting and adhering to structured processes is crucial for businesses to operate smoothly, minimize risks, and achieve sustainable growth.
He was speaking on the topic ‘Scaling MSMEs: Unlocking Growth through Strategy and Innovation’ at the weekly session of the Vidarbha Management Association (VMA), held at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines. Sachdeva emphasized that process-driven businesses are more likely to grow efficiently and consistently. He highlighted key components of a structured business approach, including scalability, quality control, risk management, and strategic resource utilization. Sachadeva said that even with limited resources and time, businesses can achieve their desired results by implementing well-defined processes.
He further stressed the importance of formulating a clear strategy for MSMEs.
A strong strategy, he said, requires clarity in vision and goals, along with a SWOT analysis to identify core strengths. He also underscored other crucial aspects of strategic planning, such as identifying the target market, fine-tuning resource utilisation, implementing process-driven operations, and staying ahead of the competition.
Additionally, he highlighted the role of digital transformation in scaling MSMEs, pointing out that over 50 per cent of MSMEs in India shut down within
five years due to a lack of strategic direction.
Sachdeva further noted that digitally empowered MSMEs can grow their revenues up to 26 per cent faster than their offline counterparts. Sachdeva also recommended leveraging cloud tools, automation, and digital payment systems to reduce operational costs by 15-30 per cent.
The session was moderated by Dheeraj Bhagat, with Shreeprasad Dubey serving as the session in-charge.
