Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav welcomed Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at the State Hangar in Bhopal on Monday evening. Patel arrived in Bhopal to participate in the ‘Sadakal Gujarat-Bhopal’ programme, an event aimed at strengthening the bonds between the two states, particularly by honouring the contributions of Gujaratis residing outside Gujarat.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav presented Patel and Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi with bouquets and shawls. He also gifted them a statue of Raja Bhoj. Dr Yadav emphasised that the Narmada river has played a crucial role in enriching both Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
He further noted the significant Gujarati presence in numerous cities across Madhya Pradesh, and highlighted the achievements of Gujarati entrepreneurs and professionals who have made their mark globally.
Overwhelmed by the warm reception, Gujarat Chief Minister Patel expressed a feeling of being at home. He underscored the robust tradition of mutual cooperation between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, stating that the ‘Sadakal Gujarat-Bhopal’ programme adds a new dimension to these relationships.
