Art wall created by Satranjipura Zone by recycling waste material.

Satranjipura Zone of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has shown the way when it comes to dealing with trash, by putting to use their creativity for giving shape to waste and put on display their art form through Waste to Art Wall. The Zone was having lot of old articles that was of no use, like old tyres, plastic bottles, old utensils and the trash was piling up, leaving the officials and employees in a bind. Zonal Assistant Commissioner Dhananjay Yadav along with staff decided to use the dumped material to form an Art Wall.
So the staff along with help from NGOs got to work and the joint efforts led to Waste to Art Wall concept.
Zone Officer Waman Kayalkar and other officials of Zone 7 were present during its inauguration on Monday at Prem Nagar in ward no. 5. Yadav applauded the staff, saying they had provided a message by putting the waste material to recycling and upholding the RRR concept, reduce, recycle and reuse.
Even citizens who were invited for the inauguration were left dazed at the efforts of civic body staff in using creative way to deal with trash materials. Yadav further said cleanliness should not be our duty alone, it must be taken over as one’s responsibility. Then only our surroundings and city can remain clean.
