Newly-elected Member of Legislative Council Sandip Joshi assured to help and support sports and sportspersons of Nagpur and will work hard to take the sporting map of the city to greater heights. “It is only because of the strong support and capable leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, major transformational changes are taking place in the sports sector of city. “I am happy to be a part of this change. Now that I have assumed the charge as MLC I will continue to support sports and players of the city,” said Joshi during the felicitation function organised by various sports associations of the city at NIT Employees Cultural Hall, Sant Jagnade Maharaj Chowk, Former MP Ramdas

 

Tadas, President of Maharashtra Wrestlers Association, senior sports organiser Babanrao Taywade, Arjuna and Dronacharya awardee Vijay Munishwar, senior journalist Ram Thakur, Deepak Kavishwar, former Sports Joint Director Jayaprakash Dubale, Dr Piyush Ambulkar and others were present on the stage. On this occasion, MLC Joshi was honoured with a silver mace, memento, shawl and a bouquet. Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Dr Padmakar Charmode, Vivek Awasare, Sambhaji Bhosale, Nagesh Sahare, Ashfaq Sheikh, Saurabh Mohod were also present.
