Madhotal police have unfolded blind murder mystery of a middle aged man and arrested his minor aged son and two others for strangulating him. 17-year-old son conspired to kill his father after being annoyed with his cruel behaviour with mother in drunken stupor. The accused have been identified as Uday Chadar (19), son of Ganesh Chadar, a resident of Auria Katangi Bypass in Madhotal, Sahil Raikwar (18), son of Arvind Raikwar, resident of Auria near Government School in Madhotal and 17-year-old juvenile. Additional SP (City), Anand Kaladgi (IPS) disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday. He informed that, on April 10, 2025, Madhotal police received information about finding the body of an unidentified man near a drain behind the Kathauda garbage plant. Learning about the incident, police reached the spot where Gram Kotwar Shyam Manohar Dhayat (50), resident of Kathauda, informed that the body was wearing a white vest, underwear and lower, and had a red cloth wrapped around the neck. The FSL officer was called to the spot and a thorough inspection was carried out.

 

The body was then sent for post-mortem to medical college. The PM report confirmed the cause of death as strangulation. Madhotal police registered a case under Sections 103(1), 238 of BNS. Investigating the case, police circulated the photo of deceased in nearby police station areas. On April 13, 2025, Geeta Kori (45), resident of Dadda Nagar, Madhotal, identified the body as her husband Sunderlal alias Ballu Kori (51). The police examined nearby CCTV footage and found that in the night of April 9, around 9 PM, four persons on a black motorcycle were seen heading from Mother Teresa Nagar towards the garbage plant. Uday Chadar was riding the bike with Sahil Raikwar in the middle, a body wrapped in a sheet, and a 16-17-year-old boy at the back.

 

Based on suspicion, Uday Chadar, Sahil Raikwar and the 17-year-old son of the deceased were taken into custody. Upon interrogation, the juvenile confessed that his father, Sunderlal alias Ballu Kori, was an alcoholic who regularly abused his mother, Geeta Kori. On April 9, after another violent incident, the son, fed up with the abuse, conspired with his friends to murder his father. As per the plan, they strangled him and disposed of the body near the garbage plant with the help of a motorcycle. While fleeing, the bike slipped near the drain. Based on the juvenile’s statement, the motorcycle, cloth and a metal bangle used in the crime were seized and all three were formally arrested.
