MANDAR Mahale made 81 and Aman Mokhade top-scored with 83, but in spite of their 139-run opening stand, Ministerial Services SC were bowled out for 267 in their first innings by MRCC on the opening day of their MN Dorairajan Trophy semi-final at the SB, City College ground on Tuesday. MSSC, in fact lost nine wickets for 70 runs as they collapsed from 197-1 to 267 all out. Most of the damage was done by Ganesh Bhosle (5-82) while Amaan Hussain claimed 3-51. In reply, MRCC were 105-2 at close of play on Day 1. They trail by 162 runs with eight wickets in hand. As many as 17 wickets fell in the other semi-final at the VCA’s Kalamna ground. VMV CC were bowled out for 161 in 45.2 overs. Reshimbagh Gymkhana batsmen too struggled and were 157-7 in reply.
 
An interesting second day’s play is in the offing.
