The 1st Katni International Open FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2025, witnessed a remarkable display of talent and strategic brilliance.
The prestigious event drew participants from various schools including Syna International School, St. Paul, JPV DAV, DPS, Belwellther, and Poddar International.
Young minds from Syna International School delivered an outstanding performance across various age categories.
In the Under-9 category, Anadik Jain (Class 3) secured the 3rd position, showcasing commendable focus and skill at a young age.In the Under-15 category, Atharv Kanojia (Class 8) bagged the 2nd position, impressing both audience and judges with his strategic acumen.
From the MP Region, Dhyana Golchha achieved the 5th position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 500, making her one of the tournament’s proud achievers.
Syna International School was honored with the Best School Trophy, reflecting the school’s commitment to all-round student development.
The event was organised under the able guidance of Arbiter Sheikh Asif, who ensured smooth conduct and fair play throughout the tournament.
