PWD Minister Rakesh Singh held Chaupals at various places in the West Assembly 
 
State Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Rakesh Singh held Chaupals at various places in the West Assembly and provided updates on ongoing development projects. He also listened to public grievances and directed concerned officials to ensure their timely resolution. During the chaupals, Singh interacted with residents in many wards including Jogini Nagar in Shankar Shah Ward, Rewa Colony in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Ward, Lalpur Vanshkar Mohalla in Gaurighat Ward, Avani Vihar in Tripuri Ward and various areas in Rani Durgavati and Giriraj Kishore Kapoor Wards. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he elaborated on the development works in the areas and assured that more public welfare projects would be carried out in near future. During interaction, people raised concerns included water supply, roads, drainage and sanitation.
 
On that, PWD Minister Singh instructed officials to prioritise these issues, especially ensure uninterrupted water supply. Singh expressed gratitude to the people of Jabalpur for their support for electing him as Member of Parliament for two decades and now as a Legislator. He highlighted several projects accomplished during his tenure, such as the Dumna Nature Park, development of a cruise and resort in Bargi. He also emphasised major infrastructure projects, including Madhya Pradesh’s largest flyover worth Rs 11,000 crore in Jabalpur, 117-kilometer Ring Road being constructed at a cost of Rs 4,500 crore, India’s first geological park, soon to be developed in the city, Airport modernisation at a cost of Rs 450 crore, modern railway station, to be built with Rs 300 crore.
 
The Minister informed that a budget allocation of Rs 3,200 crore has been made for Jabalpur’s development. Singh said plans have been made for six additional flyovers in the near future. Likewise, a two-lane flyover at Paintinaka Chowk on Mandla Road, 7.5-kilometer road from Pipariya to Ranjhi, six-lane bypass from Medical to Tilwara, road from Gwarighat Muktidham to Tilhari, White-topping from Bandariya Tiraha to Mahanadda, flyover from Angarh Mahaveer temple to Sai temple, development of Narmada ghats similar to Saryu Ghats. PWD Singh reiterated his commitment to Jabalpur’s growth and assured citizens that these projects would surely enhance the city’s infrastructure and overall quality of life.
