Member of Parliament, Ashish Dubey chaired the meeting of the District Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee 'Disha' at Collectorate on Monday.
MLA Cantt Ashok Rohani, MLA Bargi, Neeraj Singh Thakur, MLA Sihora, Santosh Barkade, MLA, Dr Abhilash Pandey, President, District Panchayat, Asha Mukesh Gotiya, Janpad President, Collector, Deepak Saxena, JMC Commissioner, Preeti Yadav, CEO, District Panchayat, Abhishek Gehlot, ASP Suryakant Sharma and other concerned officers were present.
Implementation of government’s priority schemes especially, Health, Education, Drinking Water, Canal, Electricity, Urban Development, Traffic Management, Road and Sewer Line etc. were reviewed. Earlier, the attendees discussed about compliance of the instructions given in the previous meeting.
MP, Dubey discussed various issues and asked the officers should maintain mutual coordination and coordination with public while implementing developmental activities and to resolve problems. He directed to improve the city’s traffic system, road and drainage system, resolve problems related to drinking water, hand pumps and farmers’ issues.
He said that officers should maintain proper correspondence with public representatives regarding problems and inform them while visiting fields and work for the public and society. Organize Gram Sabhas regularly and resolve local problems at the local level.
MLA Rohani asked to take stern action for taking money from Ayushmanan card holders in private hospitals. Continuously digging roads in the pretext of sewer line in urban areas without information, is a waste of money, hence advance planning should be done.
He asked to intensify the process of supplying Narmada water to Ranjhi area, improve the city’s traffic system, remove encroachment from Vehicle turn to Darshan Tiraha and from Gorabazar to Bilhari. The complaints related to smart meters should be resolved immediately, effective action should be taken to prevent adulteration in food items.
MLA Singh said that often ambulances take the patient to private hospitals, monitoring should be done in this direction as well. He also asked to resolve development and rural issues at the local-level during gram sabhas regularly.
MLA Barkade said that immediate action should be taken to improve the dilapidated school buildings.
Also, necessary steps should be taken to ensure sufficient water for farmers and cattle. He also gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials regarding stubble management.
MLA Dr. Pandey said that traffic signals should be installed at Ukhri Chowk and prepare an action plan to send buses to the bus stand from the outside route. He said that the JMC should ensure pure drinking water to common public, because most of the complaints come regarding the availability of pure drinking water.
All the concerned officers gave presentations about their respective departmental plans and progress one
by one. Collector, Saxena directed to take up the
issues raised in the
meeting on priority basis and work on them.
