REPRESENTING Nagpur, Sanvi Mahajan remained undefeated to win Maharashtra State title for second consecutive year, informs Porus Kotwal, Secretary, Nagpur District Boxing Association. In the Maharashtra State Youth Men’s and Women’s Group Boxing Selection Trials held at Yavatmal recently, Sanvi won the championship for the second year in a row with an outstanding performance.

 

In the summit clash, she defeated Purva Gawande of Akola Krida Prabodhini. Sanvi is training under the guidance of CP and Berar Boxing Academy coach Shailesh Tambe and receives special guidance from senior mentor Ganesh Purohit. Sanvi will represent Maharashtra in the 60 to 65 weight category at the National Boxing Championships to be held in Greater Noida. CP and Berar College Principal Dr Ajay Kulkarni, members of The Nagpur District Boxing Association and The Nagpur City Boxing Association have congratulated her wished good luck for upcoming nationals.
