Athletes from Sanskardhani Jabalpur brought pride to the region by winning a total of 14 medals at the State-level Senior Pencak Silat Championship 2025, held from April 19 to 20, 2025 at Wings Sports Complex, Bhopal.
The Jabalpur contingent secured 7 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals, earning second place overall in Madhya Pradesh. A total of 270 athletes and officials from 16 districts across the state participated in the championship.
Secretary of the Pencak Silat Association Jabalpur, Ashish Raikwar informed that six players from Jabalpur have been selected to represent Madhya Pradesh at the upcoming 13th National Senior Pencak Silat Martial Arts Championship, scheduled to be held from May 9 to 12, 2025, at K.D.
Babu Indoor Sports Complex, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Prior to the national event, a 10-day pre-coaching camp will be organized under the guidance of expert coaches. Senior Coach Ashish Raikwar will train the selected athletes in both Regu and Tanding events, helping them refine techniques and strategies.
