alert for Chandrapur, Nagpur, Gadchiroli, Gondia and Wardha for today n Heatwave in some parts of Vidarbha will continue on Saturday n Brahmapuri was hottest in country and third hottest place in world on Friday n Staff Reporter India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an ‘orange’ warning of thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm with light to moderate rains for many districts of Vidarbha including Nagpur from April 27 to 29. In last ten days, entire Vidarbha is reeling under severe heat conditions and many districts recorded some of the hottest temperatures in world. However, the upcoming changes in weather will provide a slight relief to everyone. Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha and Yavatmal will witness light to moderate rains on Sunday. Amravati on April 27. Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia will record light to moderate rains on April 28 also, whereas other parts of Vidarbha will witness very light showers on April 28. All the eleven districts of Vidarbha are likely to witness thunderstorm and lightning with gusty winds from April 27 to 29 and some districts will also witness hailstorm on April 27 and 28. Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Nagpur and Wardha may witness thunderstorm on April 26. Whereas, heatwave conditions will continue in Akola, Yavatmal, Washim, Gondia, Buldhana, Bhandara and Amravati districts on April 26. Chandrapur was second hottest in India and fourth hottest in world. Akola was third hottest in the country and ninth hottest place in world with 45.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Nagpur was also on higher side as the district witness 44.0 degrees Celsius on Friday. Amravati (4.6 degrees Celsius), Yavatmal (4.4 degrees Celsius), and Wardha (44.1 degrees Celsius) crossed the 44 degrees mark on Friday. Buldhana recorded the lowest maximum temperature in Vidarbha with 40.6 degrees Celsius. All the eleven districts of Vidarbha are witnessed the maximum temperature on Friday above normal by 2-4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in all over Vidarbha on Friday was above normal whereas Akola, Buldhana and Bramhapuri witnessed the minimum temperature above 27.0 degrees Celsius mark.
