In today’s fast-paced world, health often takes a backseat to our busy schedules. World Health Day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying fit and leading a healthy life. To mark this occasion, &TV artists share their fitness mantras, revealing how they maintain their well-being despite demanding shoot schedules. These include Neeta Mohindra (Kailasha Bua, Bheema), Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Neeta Mohindara, who plays Kailasha Bua in Bheema, shares, "As an actor, my body is my instrument, and keeping it healthy is as essential as delivering a good performance. Shooting for long hours requires stamina, and I ensure that I fuel my body well. My mornings begin with yoga and light stretching to keep my body flexible and prevent stiffness. A simple, home-cooked meal with plenty of fruits and warm water keeps my digestion in check. I have consciously eliminated processed foods and ensured I stay hydrated throughout the day. Meditation is my secret to maintaining inner peace, while evening walks keep me active. Age is just a number when you prioritize your health. With the right balance of diet, exercise, and mindfulness, I feel energetic and ready to take on each day."
Himani Shivpuri, popularly known as Katori Amma from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, emphasizes, "At this stage of my life, I have learned that self-care is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Long shooting hours can be exhausting, but I make sure to start my day with a glass of warm water, which helps my metabolism, followed by a short morning walk that refreshes me. My diet is simple, light, home-cooked meals with lots of fruits, nuts, and green vegetables for strength and nourishment. I also practice breathing exercises and gentle stretches to maintain mobility. Rest is just as important, so I ensure I get enough sleep to rejuvenate my body. I truly believe that mindful eating, staying active, and a positive attitude are the keys to ageing gracefully and staying fit." Rohitashv Gour, known for his role as Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, "I have realized that maintaining a healthy lifestyle isn’t an option; it’s a commitment. I begin my mornings with a 30-minute yoga session, which sets the tone for the day. My diet includes a mix of vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and plenty of hydration, especially now that summer is here. To sustain my energy during long shooting hours, I opt for healthy snacks like nuts and seeds instead of sugary treats. I also prioritize rest and make it a point to take short breaks to stretch and move around between scenes. Fitness is not just about looking good but about feeling good and being able to give my 100% every day!"
