ELECTRICAL Department defeated Mechanical to enter the semi-final of the ongoing 29th DRM Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament being played at Central Railways ground in Ajni. In the third quarter-final, Electrical Department defeated Mechanical Department by four wickets. Mechanical won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 156 runs in 18.5 overs. Captain Satish Thakur scored 29 runs while Imran Khan contributed 32. Rahul Pali added 27. For Electrical, Amol Mothe was the most successful bowler with three wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs. In reply, Electrical achieved the target in 18.3 overs losing six wickets. Suddhodhan scored highest 41 runs while Rizwan scorer 32 runs. Kunal Kadu and Jacky Baker took 2 wickets each for the losing side. Mothe was declared man of the match. In the other two quarters, TRO defeated TRS by one wicket while RPF beat S&T by 4 wickets.
