 According to locals, the tigress was roaming around hungry and thirsty in a sick condition for two days. Timely action by officials could have saved her Carcass of a tigress was found near Gitti Tola at Banjari, 3 kms away from Bichhia Tehsil headquarters, on Saturday morning. The tigress, aged around 15 months, died under suspicious circumstances. According to locals, the tigress was roaming around hungry and thirsty in a sick condition for two days. If the Forest Department wanted, it could have been rescued and given proper treatment, but somewhere due to alleged negligence of the Forest Department, the tigress of Kanha National Park died.
 
If a person kills a tiger, he gets severe punishment, but if a tiger dies due to negligence of the Forest Department even then action should be taken against officials for negligence. Even after the news, instead of rescuing the tiger for two days, the Forest Department officials adopted an irresponsible attitude. Due to which the tigress died in suspicious circumstances. After the death of tigress, Sub-divisional Officer Revenue, tehsildar and other senior officials reached the spot. Veterinary doctors reached and started investigations of the cause of death.
